Terry gently wipes Kurama's face as the boy stops heaving. Kurama moans slightly as Terry gently picks him up and carries his to the bedroom.
"How are you feeling caro?" Terry asks as he covers Kurama with a blanket.
"Okay." Kurama replies with a dreamy smile on his face.
Terry sighs, the second stage of trilum side effects is occuring. He hurries out to get a glass of water and then returns to see Kurama, motionless but still smiling. Terry hurries over and shakes Kurama slightly.
"Breathe caro." he orders.
Kurama takes a breath and looks surprised as he feels a little better.
"Keep breathing." Terry advises. "Loudly so I can hear you."
Kurama complies and after a while, he starts to giggle. Stage three. Terry offers the glass of water to Kurama.
"Drink?" he suggests.
"Vodka?" Kurama asks and then breaks into a fit of giggles.
"No. Water." Terry replies sternly.
Kurama giggles again and blows a rasberry at Terry. Terry merely waits for a few minutes before Kurama suddenly tries to remove the blanket. Stage four.
"Hot." he complains as he claws the blanket off of him.
"Cold water." Terry says, holding out the glass.
Kurama reaches for it, but then turns to his shirt buttons.
"Too hot." he complains.
Terry sets the water down and helps Kurama out of his shirt and pants before handing Kurama the water and making him drink careful sips. Kurama struggles to pour the cold water onto himself to relieve the heat but Terry keeps a firm grip on the cup.
"Hot." Kurama says, pouting.
Then his face changes drastically. Stage five. He reaches a hand down to his chest to start to scratch. Terry immediately grabs Kurama's hands. Kurama struggles in Terry's grip, trying to aleviate his itching skin. He tries to rub his leg against the pillow but Terry imobilises his entire body. Kurama whimpers.
"It itches." he said with a hint of panic in his voice.
"I know, heartling, I know." Terry reassures. "It will go away, just a second."
Kurama looked near tears as the itching grew worse. Then the itching stopped and Kurama gave a small jerk. He was wracked by small, violent shivers for a minute before he stopped. Terry immediately pulled Kurama off the bed and cradled the boy in one arm while carefully stripping the sheets off of the bed with the other arm. Kurama gradually comes to his senses.
"Terry?" he asks, confused and only vaguely remembering what happened.
"You're okay now caro." Terry assures. "Just the side effects of the drug you were given."
"Drug?" Kurama repeats.
Then he remembers the woman and understands. Terry takes the remaining clean sheet and quickly wipes Kurama down with it. Kurama stares in surprise as a sprinkle of blue dust lands on the floor.
"Don't step on it." Terry replied. "It'll knock you out again."
"What is it?" Kurama asks as he steps over the dust and goes to the drawer to get some clothes.
"Solid trilum." Terry replies.
"And what is trilum?" Kurama asks.
