Darkwind laid Andrew down on the floor and yawned, wondering how he should wake his mindmate up.
/The firebird feels your fear/
Andrew's eyes snapped open and he glanced about him, startled before settling back down.
::What is it?:: his familiar asked him.
"Nothing, I just thought I heard something."
::I didn't hear anything::
"What happened?"
::You passed out. Why did you do that? Normally you would only have turned red, would you have not? I think you haven't been sleeping well::
"I'm fine. No one's ever wanted to seal a friendship quite like that."
::/She'chorne/?::
"I think so. Unless there's been some miscommunication. What else happened?"
::I agreed for you::
Andrew sat straight up and turned towards Darkwind with incredible speed. "/Li'sa'eer/! You WHAT?!"
Darkwind looked straight back at him. ::He asked you to seal a friendship and his wish must be respected::
"Do...do you realise what you and, by extension, I have agreed to do?"
::You cannot tell me that you lived so many years amongst the Kaled'a'in without seeking companionship or having yours sought after::
"I am not in their territory anymore."
Darkwind stood and turned towards the door, his tail flicking side to side, inches from Andrew's face. ::Skyshadow, you are also called Te'sorthene and that name is not without meaning. Do not deny others the pleasure of your company. I will ever be alone, but you are different::
The kyree padded to the door and nosed it open, looking back at Andrew expectantly. ::Lunch is almost over and you have yet to eat. We shall discuss this later and make a decision together::
Andrew looked very pale as he stood up, rather shakily and followed Darkwind, holding on to whatever furniture met his hands for support. He was very undecided as to whether Darkwind had done the right thing or not and still had no idea what he would do. |
