Kuwaguma walked along the edge of the hallway, trailing her fingers along the wall with her eyes cast downward. She sighed and wondered what today's class would bring. She felt badly for not having the chance to answer Terry's question, but it couldn't be helped. She wasn't sure how she would have answered it if there /had/ been time. Her thoughts were interrupted by a loud voice.
"Can you just shut UP?!"
Kuwaguma stopped, turning her gaze upwards to witness the confrontation happening a short distance down the hallway. A moment later the small brown-haired child was thrown headlong into a trash disposal unit near where she stood, silent. She remained were she was, looking at the taller boy's retreating figure in amazement, but then, quickly, she went to assist the victim of the situation. As soon as he had been removed from the trash bin she hurried after his attacker. "I'll be right back,’ she told him as she left.
She walked behind and to the side of him, keeping pace as he walked away. It was only now that she was very near him that she realised how much taller he was than she. "Excuse me? I don't mean to interrupt, but could you tell me why you threw that student in with the garbage? Don't you think that was the wrong thing to do, whatever the situation was?" |
