OOC: This is a Maisy post, but I didn't have enough room in the subject to put that (*sticks tongue out at Yahoo*)

Maisy waved to Pyrford on her way out of the classroom, grinning ear to ear at the announcement that her class was cancelled, again. It wasn't that she didn't like class, but more that she was looking forward to an uninterrupted afternoon. She could have a relaxing lunch, practice some volleyball moves, cheerleading, sleep, do whatever it was she wanted for as long as she wanted...
...oh no. Meeting. Philips really did know how to ruin her afternoon, didn't he? He would argue that she might as well get some work done instead of wasting her time. Pffft.
Oh well, she'd take a spin around the campus in one of her mecha, maybe Solstice, just for effect. She hurried towards the cafeteria, hoping that the line wouldn't be too long and she could find something relatively quickly. She didn't want to disturb any classes so she would finish with her joy ride before lunch was over.
She passed her roommate, Vegetable, talking to someone she didn't recognise and waved to him. "Hi there, Okra!" She kept on going for a few paces before deciding that she really did have an extra moment or two...
..."Okra, whatcha doing?" she asked, peering over his shoulder. Wow, he was pretty good at that. Of course, she had no idea what the purpose of it was, but now she'd satisfied her curiosity. "I'll see you later, okay?" Turning to his companion she added, "Sorry, I don't have time to chat right now, but my name's May and I'll probably run into you again. Bye!"
With that she was on her way again, dashing into the cafeteria and then on to the hangar to get her mecha ready.

"Kkkkkyaaaaaaaa! Whee hee hee hee!" Solstice streaked across the sky, brown and white wings folded inwards, before executing a series of twists and spins as Maisy checked that everything was in working condition. It was good to be back behind the controls. |
