Late to Lunch - Noroke

Fifteen minutes after lunch had started, Noroke closed the Art of Sorcery book and sighed with disappointment. She couldn't understand why she had only finished reading the first three chapters; usually she'd be done with at least five by now. I guess it'll take me a while to adjust to this environment, she said to herself as she brushed her long black hair, pulling half of it up. Changing into a plaid skirt and grey sweater, an outfit much like the school attire in Japan, she grabbed the sorcery book and headed towards the cafeteria in a hurried pace.

Walking through the doors of the cafeteria, she disappointedly observed that it was still crowded and many of the tables were full. Quickly buying a lunch, Noroke looked around to try and find an empty or close to empty table. Finally spotting a table with only a single student sitting at it, she decided that she had no other choice but to join him.

As Noroke walked towards the table, she spotted a girl walking away looking quite irritated at the brown-haired boy sitting at the table. Reaching the table, she smiled and asked quietly, "Is it all right if I sit here? Seeing that most of the tables are full anyway and I really hate being in crowds."
