Zelig glanced briefly at Xavier before raising his hand. The conversation had pulled both of them out of their thoughts long enough to comment on the situation.
"History is the reminder of the horrors of what have been." Zelig said.
"And the damage that can never be undone." Xavier spoke up softly, staying close to Zelig.
"The end of a race." Zelig said. "The deaths of kings."
"The death of friends." Xavier whispered.
Zelig turned to Xavier in concern. Xavier shook his head slightly at Zelig, signifying he was alright. They both turned briefly to face the professor again. |
