Noroke had slipped her sister's letter back into her pocket as Security came in and made a sweep throughout the library. Probably to see if the intruder was hiding in here, she thought as she watched them quietly. She glanced at the principal sympathetically; whoever attacked him must have hit him pretty hard for he was obviously unconscious. With an inaudible gasp, she noticed that there were no physical markings of an attack which only meant one thing: the intruder had the ability to mentally attack people. And knowing Psychics, being one herself, they would be able to easily escape a lockdown such as this, unless the university was protected in other ways.

As she discovered this revelation, the Security Team hurried out of the library to continue the sweep through the school. Focusing her attention back at the principal, Noroke debated with herself about whether she should cast her Healing Spell on the principal. She then decided that it would be best to leave the job to the Medics since she wasn't sure if her spell would work on psychic attacks, and casting it would drain her energy too much to risk trying. Noroke hoped that the Medics would come quickly; she hated to see the innocent injured.

As if on cue, the Medics bursted in and hurried to the principal, apparently checking his current health status. I hope he's all right, Noroke thought compassionately, I'm glad that they came as quickly as they did. When the Medics had finished checking the principal's status, they took him away, to further care for him until he completely regained his health.

After all this excitement, the library became quiet again and Noroke began to think of a plan that would allow her to send her sister, Kagayaku, a reply without endangering herself or her family. It was quite clear that she couldn't just send a letter the regular way; the sorcerers would easily intercept it and find out where her family currently was. After several minutes of contemplation, she still hadn't reached an answer to her problem.

Suddenly an announcement came onto the speakers in the library, interrupting Noroke's thoughts, "Attention staff and students, the lockdown has ended. I repeat, the lockdown has ended. Please resume your normal activities." With this said, several windows and doors throughout the university were re-opened.

Noroke felt relieved as a gust of fresh air whooshed through the library. The lockdown had only made the library more sultry than it had started with and she felt slightly smothered. She decided to go back to her room and open the windows; she always studied better in her own place, where more comfort was offered. At this thought, she stood and took the books the archivist had found on the history of the Art of Sorcery. With a thank you and a grateful smile, Noroke headed back to her room.
