Aino pushed a button on the security console. Stulfut pushed another button.
"Captain Aino, ending lockdown." she said.
"Sergeant Stulfut, ending lockdown." he said.
Aino turned on the loudspeaker.
"Attention staff and students, the lockdown has ended. I repeat, the lockdown has ended. Please resume your normal activities." she said.
The doors and windows reopened and the shield surrounding YUME turned off. Aino turned to her team.
"We shall have to be extra careful over the next few days. The target may return." she said. "We'll double the patrols."
The team nodded briskly.
"Lugosi, I want you to coordinate things with the SWAT teams." Aino said.
Lugosi nodded and headed out the door. Griffith went to find Vash. Refractions returned to her console. Stulfut and Ohta went out to begin their patrols. Aino turned to Bwoshih.
"Thank you Professor." she said.
"No problem." he replied. "I shall see what I can do for Ananda and the principal. I already sent some medics after him."
Aino smiled.
"Thank you." she said. "I'm afraid that we may need you later on if the target returns."
"Not a problem, Captain, just let me know." Bwoshih assured before smiling and walking out.
Aino sighed.
"If he wasn't so beautiful, I could fall for him." she said absently to Refractions.
The corporal wisely didn't comment on Aino's remark, knowing that the captain was returning to her 'normal' mode now that the tension was over. |
