When the teacher, Ms. Holoman, asked what students expected to learn in Ethics Ruka's immediate answer was "Nothing except for hot air and Utopian ideals." He very nearly put up his hand to say so, but there was no need to insult the teacher, just because he wasn't particularly fond of her subject. He wondered what had prompted the tall boy's answer.

Ruka wasn't sure if said student was trying to impress someone or whether that was what he really thought he was going to learn. Ruka shrugged mentally. What the other people in here did and why they did it was really none of his business. He had more important things to worry about, some unfinished business to attend to among other things.

When did the extra curriculars here start? Wednesday, was it? A long, long way away from the point of view of someone stuck in the interminable drone of Ethics class.

The teacher had said they were going to learn about the Egyptians. Ruka was surprised to realise he actually didn't know anything about them, he wasn't even sure he was associating the term with the right thing. /There are more important things than doing well in this class.../ he thought to himself, but even to him it sounded more like he was trying to convince himself than re-affirming what he really felt.
