Noroke Nozomi took a deep breath to calm her nerves as her uncle slowly pulled up to the university. Everything will be all right, she told herself, there's nothing to worry about. But as her uncle's convertible stopped in front of the school, her words did nothing to make her feel better. As she stepped out of the convertible, she studied the school for a brief moment before taking her bags that her uncle took from the car.
She turned to her uncle and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "Thank you so much for driving me here, Uncle. I hate burdening you like this," she said softly with a grateful smile.
Her uncle hugged her goodbye and handed her his phone number, "I don't mind driving you when your family is in danger like this. Be sure to call me if the sorcerers try to come here to attack you,
Noroke-chan."
Noroke nodded, taking the slip of paper from her family's closest friend, "Thank you again for everything, Uncle. I'm sure I will be all right. I'll send letters to you to give to my family. Good bye, Uncle!"
Checking to see that she had all her things, she then walked into the university, heading for the principal's office. Seeing the secretary, she said in her quiet tone, "Umm excuse me, my name is Noroke Nozomi and I've just arrived. I apologize for coming so late, but there was a family emergency."
