Kuwaguma hopped from the roof of one building to the branch of a large tree, wide enough so that she could land without having to worry overly about balance. She'd only been wandering for a few minutes, but she was already bored. YUME had a nice campus, but it wasn't impressive enough to hold her attention for long. Earth was rather...she couldn't think of an appropriate word for it.
Ethics was her first class of the day and she was uneasy, understandably uneasy. Her culture had been very different from the one here when she had left (though she had no idea how her civilisation had changed since her departure) and even if she had been briefed before attending YUME she couldn't help but know without uncertainty that she would be struggling to cope with the course as she understood it. She'd do well, however, she'd make sure of that even if she had to ask for extra help. She couldn't be the only non-Terran here.
Well, she didn't want to be late (she would be early to make a good impression) and there was nothing to distract her in the outdoors so she started towards her class, wondering if she would see any faces she had seen yesterday. |
