Leena sits down for a moment on the soft couch and serveys the small residence appartment that is to be her home for this school year. Her gaze wanders over the work she has done to change the sterile school issue living quarters into a habitable home, a vase of fresh roses on the side table under the entryway mirror, a window treatment fashioned out of purple sheets and ribbon around the french doors leading to her balcony and the various posters and paintings that express her love of music and dance.
Leena watched Tianna relax in her favorite massive overstuffed chair. "What do you think Ti? dinner time?"
Leena stood and walked to the kitchen to prepare dinner for her and the big cat. She passed by the dining table brought from her parents home in California (the house that Leena could never quite convince herself to sell) and opened the cupboards to look at all the food she had stocked over the last few days.
"I doubt any of our neighbours have had the time to do the settling in that we have TI. What do you say we try to get along in this place. Maybe be a little nice. You think they might like a home cooked meal instead of the *stuff* i saw in the caff?"
In the next few minutes Leena put together a little menu and spent about 5 minutes at her computer putting together a few invitations and then walked up and down the hall slidding a note under each door. Then she went back to her appartment to start cooking up this feast. One thing was for sure, if no one showed up leena would be eating left overs for a month.
