End of the first day

Kurama glances over the sleeping couple. It is getting late in the evening and he is also ready to go to sleep. Yawning, he puts his homework away neatly and prepares for bed. He turns off all the lights except the one by his bed. Duo and Terry are curled up against each other on the bed and sleeping quietly. Kurama thoughtfully covers the two with a blanket before getting under his own. He turns off the lights and listens to the soft sounds of breathing. It will be strange, after a year of it, not to have it tonight. 'It's funny how a year can change a person.' Kurama thinks. He lets the silence and darkness lull him to sleep.
