Ruka was rather disturbed, even if he did not show it. He had the feeling that he probably would not have been able to make it there by himself. He did not like having to be grateful, having to be indebted to anyone. It reminded him too much of...too much of things past. But he could not be so suspicious, or at least, he should not be. He could not help it. He had been concentrating on the tiled floor of the corridor as Bwoshih talked and now he looked up. He could make out the medical facilities not far ahead. There was a nurse near the door, probably waiting for him. It was yet another blow to his pride to know that they had expected him to return there. Dammit.

"I'll be alright from here on...the meeting could even be over by now and you'll probably want to find out what you missed. Thank you for your help, Professor."

He had not liked to say thank you, but it was respectful. No one had ever said 'thank you' to him for anything, they had not appreciated any of it....they had hated him. They had /all/ hated him. But then again, wasn't that what he had wanted? Sometimes hate was more comforting than sympathy.
