Kurama sighs as Corporal Griffith walks off and leaves him with the two jokers. He is uncertain what to make of the relationship between Terry and Duo. They seem to be familiar with each other but there also seems to be something more. Kurama decides not to say anything as they return to their room. Terry dumps Duo on his bed and sits on one of the chairs. Kurama sits at his desk.
"Could you check for messages please caro?" Terry requests.
Kurama nods and begins to type on the laptop.
"Still no using technology I see." Duo notes.
"Well, why bother?" Terry replies.
"I swear, you're too nature-oriented for your own good though I've never figured out why." Duo comments.
This makes Kurama pause in his typing. Duo's statement tells Kurama that Duo does not know about Wererls. Kurama glances over at Terry, who is wearing an easy grin but shakes his head slightly at Kurama's look. Duo misses this exchange as he examines the room.
"You fit in here?" he exclaims in disbelief.
"Barely." Terry replies with a shrug.
"So, Kurama, may I ask how you met this idiot?" Duo asks.
"He was an exchange student who came to Japan and lived with my family while my brother lived with his in Australia." Kurama replies.
"Really? That's cool." Duo says. "I met Terry in school as well. He was a transfer student."
"Interesting." Kurama comments with a thoughtful look at Terry.
"Hey, so I travelled a lot." Terry defends with a smile.
"There's going to be a Welcome Back party on Thursday." Kurama notes as he scans through the messages from the school.
"Thursday? That's a long ways away." Duo complains mildly.
"Duo, may I ask what you meant by teddy bear?" Kurama asks finally, curiousity overcoming politeness.
"Kurama!" Terry protests. "Don't make him tell."
Duo glances at Terry, grins wickedly, and opens his mouth to begin telling the story. Terry quickly pings Duo on the side of the head with an eraser. Duo glares and throws it back. Then he turns to Kurama and begins to tell him the story while Terry hides in his chair. |
