As the day was coming to a close, I wanted to get a concensus on the day's events. On the successes and concerns. Yes, I'll call for a staff meeting.
I went out to the microphone for the P.A. system. Iliana just looked up then continued working.
"Can all staff members please meet in the library for a brief meeting right now? Thank you very much and see you all there." I looked to Iliana.
"I'll stay here to watch the office." I wondered if she ever even leaves for home some days. Like the office is nothing without her.
"Well suit yourself if you don't want to come. I could use someone to take minutes..."
She slanted her head, then got up.
"Good, get some circulation going from sitting there most of the day. Shall we go?"
"Of course sir." We both made our way to the library.

There we were greeted by Mai.
"So you want to talk about stuff...so cool! My day was fine...I had lunch from the cafeteria, but can you believe the lineups?! You'd think robots could work faster...and what's with the explosions?! It was like, oh no, war! Ahhh! I was a bit scared..."
I just nodded and hoped someone else would come. Iliana at least talked to her to keep me from doing so. I looked to the door to greet anyone. |
