Shiya wiped a hand across her brow to relieve herself of the perspiration that had resulted from such a strenuous class. As far as she could see things had gone pretty well, but she wasn't completely sure. Her eyes reflected a measurable amount of anxiety as she wondered what to do now. She never knew what to do with so much spare time. The lean girl cast a glance towards the scuffle that had broken out between Terry and another boy and decided maybe it was better that she be somewhere else.
"See you tomorrow," she said quietly before slipping out and sprinting off.

The sun was still bright outside and the fall colours of the island were quite pretty this time of the year, some of their hues matching quite well with Kuwaguma's hair as she walked through the fallen leaves. She took care to try and avoid stepping on as many as possible. On her world one never knew where trouble could come from and she wasn't foolish enough to forget her instincts here. She looked for a quite place where she could reflect in solitude, where she could forget that everyone who was like her was light-years away...
Terry had said he was from a Tribe, hadn't he? She hadn't thought a planet like Earth would have those, but it was some comfort to her; to not be completely alone. |
