Vegetable Guru stared blankly at the ending for episode 3 of Doom. It just wasn't the same anymore. He knew exactly where the monsters were, where the keys were, where to go, where to shoot, etc etc.
"I really need to find another game," Okra muttered to himself as he shut down the computer.
Packing the laptop into his backpack, he hurried down to the dorms. After a couple of seconds, he arrived at his door; barely keeping himself from running into two or three people along the way. He wasn't used to crowded buildings. After unlocking his door, he entered the room and noted the emptiness. After a small time of exploration, he found that there were two separate bedrooms and one bathroom. A small sort of living room, and of course a kitchen. Vegetable didn't know how to cook, however.
"I hope I don't get somebody that has to go all the time," Vegetable said reflectively.
After that thought, he picked out the bedroom that would be on his left facing from just entering the door. Placing the backpack on his bed, Vegetable took out the laptop and made sure the AC adaptor was in working condition; which fortunately it was. He set it on the desk as he rummaged through his clothes, stuffing them precariously into the dresser. Inside the backpack he left the mechanical pencils and some notebooks. Deciding he was about as ready as ever, Okra headed back to the school to visit the cafeteria. Vegetable was very hungry.
"I just hope they don't put vegetables in it," he thought glumly. |
