Bwoshih smiled as the telepath managed not to cry as he was defeated. They were almost done with their group testing. The silence of the concentrating students was shattered by the gong symbolising the end of class. Most of the students were startled and a few of the kinetics dropped the pens and pencils they had been twirling in the air.
"Well, that's the end of today's class." Bwoshih said, smiling at the surprised students. "You all did quite well. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow. You may leave."
The majority of the students smiled and left the room rather quickly. A few of them lingered to as Bwoshih a few technical questions. After he was done with the students, Bwoshih went over to Audrey, who was preparing to leave.
"Are you feeling alright now?" he asked.
She nodded afirmatively.
"Would you like me to get someone to help you home or are you fully recovered? I could get Cresta or Nuriko." he suggested.
She declined with a smile.
"Hey, Audrey, I know today was a bad day for you." Bwoshih said seriously. "And I really recommend that you talk to Nuriko at least once this year. I know she's new, but I think she can help you in ways that I cannot. She is a very good listener. You are very powerful and I would hate to see you lose all that power because of a few idiots like Erik who don't know any better then to try and ruin your mind. All I can do is help you improve your powers. Nuriko can help you become stronger. Please consider my advice."
He smiled reassuringly at her.
"I'll see you tomorrow then."
With a final parting smile, he went back to his desk and started to prepare for tomorrow. He began to softly sing a song from long ago. |
