"Alright, let's try this again," Erik said.
Audrey sighed as she did what she already had been doing: Keeping her mental defenses up. The push occured frequently, but Audrey's defenses didn't give in. After a few moments, sharp pressure suddenly exploded in her mind.
"What are you doing?" Audrey gasped as her defense suddenly broke.
Erik just grinned. She could feel his presence clawing it's way into the recesses of her mind. He was starting to extract a memory of hers
"STOP IT!"
Erik was lifted off his feet, thrown across the room and slammed into the wall on the opposite side of the room. Audrey wiped away her tears, fighting the urge to run from the room. A horrible start to the year, she thought to herself. As Audrey looked up to where Erik had been thrown, she realized he wasn't moving.
"Oh, no," Audrey's eyes widened.
She was too frightened of what might have happened to even think of using telepathy to check if his mind was still alive. |
