Kurama looks at Terry.
"Ready to spar?" Kurama asks.
Terry opens his mouth to reply when the big boy steps in between them. He stares at Kurama.
"If I beat you, girl, you have to date me." he says boldly. "I'm Biff, by the way."
He is shorter than Terry, but then again, every student so far has been shorter than Terry, but a lot beefier. Kurama arches an eyebrow, unamused. Terry hides a grin and motions for Kurama to take up the challenge.
"Very well." Kurama agrees blandly.
Biff smiles, thinking it will be an easy win. Terry gives Kurama a quick kiss on the head.
"Break a neck." Terry cheers as Kurama aims an annoyed kick in his direction.
"Your boyfriend?" Biff asks.
"No." Kurama says shortly, starting to get annoyed with Biff.
"Hello. My name is Terry." Terry says, approaching a small orange haired girl. "Would you like to spar with me?"
He gives her a friendly smile and she shyly agrees.
"May I ask, before we start, are you from a tribe?" Terry asks.
She nods, looking astounded that he would know.
"I'm from a tribe too." Terry informs her cheerfully.
She smiles at this information.
"My name is Kuwaguma." she says.
"Pleased to meet you." Terry says. "It will be nice to practice with someone from another tribe."
They smile at each other and begin to spar. Kurama turns his attention to Biff, who is grinning from ear to ear.
"I'll be gentle." Biff promises.
"Don't be." Kurama replies. "Otherwise it won't be fair. Not that it really matters since I'm going to beat you anyway."
Kurama hates boasting but he realises that it is the only way to get Biff to fight will all his strength. Sure enough, Biff's eyes widen as the insult registers. With a roar, Biff swings his club around at Kurama. With ease, Kurama jumps out of the way and draws out his whip. Biff takes a few more swings at Kurama, who dodges gracefully before he sends his whip out and effectively immobilises Biff. Biff crashes to the ground and starts to cry as the thorns bit into his flesh. Kurama keeps the whip in place until Sizer comes by and motions for him to release the larger boy. Kurama does so and waits patiently for someone to be free to challenge him. He decides to watch Terry fight Kuwaguma. |
