OOC: I apologise for not having posted sooner, but I've had a lot to do at school. Tonight I managed (over a period of three + hours) to get several of the profiles up on the Archives, but not all of them, unfortunately.

IC:
Skyshadow dusted off his jacket as he entered the halls, just in time to hear the gong ending lunch hour. Luckily a stable hand had been there when he'd returned so that he wouldn't be late for his first class of Sorcery for the year.

He sat down behind Floogster so that he wasn't right at the front of the class. Enough people thought he was a teacher's pet and a perfectionist already that he wasn't really interested in promoting the idea.

He looked around the room with interest before the teacher came in and sent out just a bare thread of mindmagic around the room. Not enough to really be detected, but enough for him to get a feeling of what the others were like. Everything seemed fine and he relaxed slightly. He had a reputation here to uphold and was forced to always think about how others saw him. He withdrew back behind his shields when all of a sudden a vivid flashback of an image collided with his mind.

/He was standing quietly with his hands folded together in front of his chest with his index fingers touching and his other fingers changing patterns very slightly. His eyes stared straight ahead with a calmness which was unnerving. Suddenly there was a quick breeze and the barren, black plain filled with orange, crimson, and violet as a huge, fiery shape materialised from out of nowhere.

Screaming, nothing more but screaming as what ever had been in front of him vaporised.

Many screams.

Burning./

Andrew drew in his breath hurriedly and his eyes widened with horror. Then he heard an unfamiliar voice in his mind….::Quid pro quo. An eye for an eye.::

He was shaking. How had anyone gotten past his shields? It was impossible! Who? Who was it?! He glanced around, hoping he didn't look too fearful or too obvious. He would have to watch his back this year. There was something dangerous in the air.

It wasn't only that they'd been able to reach past those seemingly impenetrable barriers, they had pulled images from his mind and forced them upon him against his will. He doubted even a strong psychic would have been able to do quite the same thing without leaving a trace. Something was definitely wrong. He was too unnerved even to contact Darkwind. He shut his mind to everything, including his familiar.

Anyone watching him might have noticed the looked rather uncomfortable and ill at ease, but nothing to indicate how much distress he was actually in. Leaning forward, head drooping so that his forehead rested against the desk he looked much more tired than usual.

Darkwind's ears went up when he felt the link broken. Then he shrugged his shaggy shoulders and lay down. If Skyshadow wanted some privacy then he was entitled to it. If it was something more than that he was sure he'd be told later.

Meanwhile, the Sorcery Professor was just entering the room...

OOC: There ya go. I've been planning that flashback ever since I thought of creating Andrew, in fact, it was influential in my final decision to use him over the other ideas I had. ^_^ Don't worry, everything will be explained later ^_~ *evil laugh*

BTW, I wasn't sure if 'quid pro quo' is the way the Latin saying goes, but I'm pretty sure you all know what I mean, right? Basically it's the idea of something in return for something. Once again, everything between the // should be in italics and :: :: represents unspoken lines.
