Terry smiles at the predictable question.
"I'm here because the principal is a family friend and I was invited. It was an unanticipated announcement."
"Why did you not inform our superiors of this change?" Voer asks.
Terry's grin broadens.
"I never inform them of anything. And neither will you, Voer. They are not to know that I am here. It would jeopardise my position. Do you understand? They are not to know. Not even van Zanten knows and it is to stay that way. My whereabouts remain secret for confidential reasons."
Terry gazes into Voer's face.
"Remember these orders Voer; no one is to know that I am here." |
