Physical Description:
Yuka's hair hangs just below shoulder length, so that it slips to the front or back every time she moves her head. It's a dark, glossy green and matches her eyes. She wears a black and white spandex sport top and black cycling shorts underneath a black t-shirt and loose yellow pants tied a little lower than waist length so they hang on her hips. She moves very casually, but her movements also betray a certain discipline speaking of years of careful training. She stands five feet, seven inches tall.
Personality:
Teal-Lavoisier values her private time and enjoys both the quiet of her room and the vastness of unspoiled countryside. She's kind to her pupils and likes to concentrate on each one individually, so that she can get to know their strengths and weaknesses better, instead of just addressing them as a class. She encourages them to ask her for help if they need it and always puts their welfare above her own. She's not above socialising with them outside of a class setting. Though this is her first teaching job, she already teaches a history class in addition to Gunsmithing. Her strange affinity for unusual homework assignments is what she's best known for, as well as her love for sleeping in. Rumour has it that she was influential in the scheduling of afternoon Major classes. She's always up for a challenge, but knows where and when to draw the line.
Background History:
A double Olympic gold medallist in shooting, for both Canada and France, she was also an avid pilot at one time. Her dominance in the sport led to an almost undefeated career and left some thinking it was out of mercy that she retired from the sport to concentrate more on her hobby of piloting. When she found she couldn't make enough money to live by, she tried to use her gun to strike it big as a mercenary. She couldn't make it at that either; she didn't have the heart for it. Despairing and discouraged, Yuka got in her plane and disappeared from normal life.
When systems malfunctions caused her plane to crash near the archaeological site where Ray Cannel and Zohn Kurrai were she barely made it out alive...her co-pilot wasn't so lucky. Once she was back to full health she found out about the school they were planning on starting. Happy and relieved to be able to find a job at which her shooting skills were put to good use for something other than her own gain, she offered her resume and signed up for Gunsmithing professor.
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
After the horrific crash which almost claimed her life Yuka refuses to go anywhere near a plane, or even the mecha hangar, of her own volition. Because there was never a time limit in the Olympic shooting trials she can sometimes be a little slow, as she takes too long to get just the right aim. Her greatest fault, if it is necessarily a fault, is that her style sacrifices speed for greater accuracy.
Equipment:
She also has several explosive materials and other random supplies she might need for teaching her class.
Moves:
No specific moves listed.
[ice_song's note: the background colour used in these profiles indicates rank, the closer to black it is the higher up in the YUME ladder. Sort of like how security clearance level is sometimes colour coded. ^_^;]
