Character's Age: 15

Race: Alien, humanoid, Tribal

Gender: Female

Home: Southern Asia, Earth

Rank: Student

Major: Art of Weaponry

Hobbies: Hunting, playing the flute

Physical Description:

Kuwaguma has long, dark orange hair with yellow highlights contrasted by her dark brown skin. She is 5'3" with a lean, athletic build. She always carries a spear, staff, or quiver of arrows strapped to her back. Though she comes from a different planet she looks no different from other humans. Despite the fact that she seems quite uncomfortable in Earthly clothes she makes an effort to wear a normal school uniform in order to try and fit in. In battle she returns to her Tribal clothing, more suitable for her flexible style of fighting.

Personality:

Despite her background Shiya is quite civilised in her demeanour and speaks very well. Many are surprised by her excellent skills in English class. She's naturally quiet by nature, but when she speaks she makes sure to be loud enough to be heard. She tends to stay away from group activities and is a bit of a loner. Whenever she can get away from the campus she goes on camping and hunting trips alone into the surrounding forest where she can be by herself in solitude. She has very expressive eyes and has trouble hiding her feelings because of that. Thus, her frustration at Math and other such subjects is evident even though she refuses help from anyone.

She likes to get things done efficiently and right away, often doing homework from one class during another and leaving herself with a lot of spare time. Occasionally she gets very restless and can be seen roaming the rooftops of various campus buildings.

Background History:

She was sent as a test subject to see how well her people could co-exist with those on Earth. She was partnered with a Terran on an inter-planetary exchange program.

Her people were hunter/gatherers who combined advanced technology with living off the land. While seeming primitive they had in fact managed to travel into space more than a century before scientists on Earth did. On her journey to YUME she was instructed on the human civilisation and thus, is not at a total loss. Nevertheless, she'll always feel herself the foreigner amongst the other students.

Strengths:

Speed-Ability to run faster than others, faster movements, can execute fast hitting combos and fast moves

Weapon Handling-Ability to use any weapon efficiently except ones mentioned in Gun Control(Unless you have both powers), able to use them in moves like sword slash, bo staff spin and such, be able to repair them or reload them if it's a weapon like bow and arrows, slingshot, crossbow and such

Weaknesses:

Shiya relies on her speed and flexibility in a fight and while she can swing a mean staff she doesn't have the strength to go head-to-head with large, powerful fighters.

Equipment:

  1. Spears: She always has an assortment of spears nearby and uses them either as projectiles or as staffs or rods. They have wooden shafts which she spends a lot of time polishing to maximise their aerodynamics.
  2. Bow and Arrows: As well as having a spear strapped to her back she usually carries a quiver. In battle she uses her superior speed to get a wide enough range to enable her to use either crossbow or longbow. Some of her arrows inflict different status effects and have different elemental alignments.

Moves:

1. Broken Heart: Shiya hurls her spear into the ground and it shoots up under the enemy. Why is it called Broken Heart? No one's sure, but maybe it's a clue to her past.

2. Gale Stab: Shiya runs up the enemy, then charges forward impaling them.

3. Illusion: A blindingly fast combo of alternating hacks, slashes, and stabs in which she moves so quickly she leaves an after-image. The move usually ends when the opponent passes out from dizziness.

[ice_song's note: the background colour used in these profiles indicates rank, the closer to black it is the higher up in the YUME ladder. Sort of like how security clearance level is sometimes colour coded. ^_^;]
