Retention Pond Activities
  You may be thinking that a retention pond is a dull, lifeless place.  That is not true!  The list of activities which you could partake in is endless!  Here are a few ideas which you could try, but remember, always use your judgement and never do anything at the retention pond to hurt humans or the environment. 
Watch the sunrise

Practise a musical instrument


Play a low-organised game


Walk your pet


Read a book


Play chess or checkers


Talk with friends


Participate in a wildlife conservation project


Sit quietly and think


Bring binoculars and watch birds


Rake leaves and jump in them
Watch geese and ducks


Watch the sunset


Use a paddleboat


Go canoeing


Play frisbee


Practise Yoga


Write poetry


Feed ducks "Duckseed" (available at specialty stores)


Go kayaking


Build a snowman or fort


Go skating once city has deemed it safe


Toss a football with friends


Play a board game
