It has been brought to our attention that
a member who was fired approximately 15 years
ago received his job back. We are very pleased
to see this member back in our Local, but we are disappointed in the manner that management and
our present Executive Board handled this. We have
been informed that this member received all his
seniority back. If you read the copy of the
contract agreement below you will see they
are going against the contract. This is a problem
seeing that this member under this contract
does not deserve to be reinstated with all this
time as seniority. In turn this member is bypassing approximately 40 members and leapfrogging them
in seniority rights and bids on trucks. Once again
we see that the present Executive Board does
what they want for who they want and goes along
with Management to hurt the rest of the membership.
