This memo has come to our attention.  Once again the Present Executive Board listens to what management wants before asking their members what is going on. Some of us from THE FIGHTING FOR THE FUTURE SLATE are snow drivers.  On 12/28/2006 at 5:56 a.m. snow command had a test of our pagers.  We do not have a problem with the test just the time of them. Some of us do not start work until 7:00 a.m. so isn’t a possibility that we might still be in bed sleeping? Besides it was going to be in the forty’s that day and we as snow drivers watch the weather to adjust our sleep.  Instead of agreeing to this memo which said that if you do not answer these tests it can result in disciplinary action.  This is how we THE FIGHTING FOR THE FUTURE SLATE would have handled it.

We would have suggested to management that the test be done during the hours of 7:00 a.m. until 3.00 p.m., seeing as how we do not get paid to answer pages when we are off the clock!  We would have also asked if the Skytel pagers system was working 100 percent before we would go along with sending threatening memos.  We know that our drivers are professionals and have been doing this job for years.  Once again our Present Executive Board has given YOU another reason to make the positive change in December of 2007.
