6. INCREASE NUMBER OF BUSINESS AGENTS

We at FIGHTING FOR THE FUTURE SLATE understand that a lot of Members do not even know who their Business Agents are and what they do. A Business Agent is a person who is supposed to help the Members with
problems in their jobs. He is supposed to know their contracts inside and out. Our current Business Agents have a big problem with understanding and explaining our contracts. They can never answer your questions or give you a straight answer. It usually takes you days to weeks to find anything out. If you work the afternoon or evening shift there is no one around to answer your questions. This is why our Slate has decided to increase the numbers of Business Agents to better serve your needs and wants. Also create a 24
hour Business Agent phone line and a Business Agent on duty. By increasing the Business Agents, they will be more accessible to the Members and visit yards more frequently to be hands on.
