JOURNAL

SEPTEMBER 2003
-I purchased an
Ashtray Switch Panel from UPR Products, a "buy it now" on Ebay.  I installed the Switch Panel with four rocker switches.  All were black with one lit red one.  I really liked the look of the switch panel when I saw it on SuperStang.com so even though I don't have a current use for the switches, they still brighten up the interior dramatically.  While installing the switch panel I figured I would correct another pet peeve of mine.  I hate having the Ashtray door open while charging my cell phone so I bought another "Cigarette lighter" and split the positive and negative of the original and wired it up under the dash to the left of the stereo.  Made a major difference.  *special thanx to Brandon
-(9.04) Update---thanx to
SuperStang.com.  I checked their links and found John's Mustang out of Houston Texas.  After ordering a catalog
(which I was surprised came in only one day) I found what I had been looking EVERYWHERE for, my
striker for my GT hatch!!!!  I ordered it instantly and can't wait to finally cut down on the rattle that the home-made striker makes.
-(9.14) Won on ebay---
Center armrest delete kit.  Finally got one, only cost me $64.00 total.  Paid for 9.17, should be here anytime now.  Still no word yet on where my striker bolt is.  John's Mustang isn't impressing me much with their delivery times.  Also, I found an 1987 5.0 Engine locally for $200 and a T-5 Transmission for $400, haven't made the move yet but plan to check them out soon.
-(9.18) My
Center armrest delete kit came today, one day after I paid for it!!  How the hell do people do that???  I had to clean it up and remove the ashtray that came with it.  The one I had in my stock armrest was nicer looking.  After a good scrubbing the peice snapped in nicely and adds a really nice touch to the center console.  Very clean looking!  New pictures coming soon...

AUGUST 2003
-I recieved my new
GT wing and then my new hatch.  In the process of putting them on, I ended up denting a corner of the new hatch when it landed on my hand.  That same week I pulled out the hatch carpet and cleaned it. *special thanx to Gregg and Tanya for hatch installation
-The striker on my LX is different than the striker on a GT (hatch) so as a temporary fix (I searched 3 counties wide for this part) I grinded down my LX hatch striker to use for my GT latch.  (2 hour project with a hand grinder).  *special thanx to Brandon
-I found out that I won't have to drive my stang this winter, not that I would have at this point anyways, but my mom has agreed to store her Pontiac Grand Am else where so I can store my stang in the garage!

JULY 2003
-I purchased a new hatch and GT wing off Ebay.
