I read the reviews for this item prior to purchasing it. After being in the Target store today, I decided to purchase Tiffany Table Lamps. Although the display at the store wasn't working so I could test the lamp, I purchased it anyway. I was happy to say that the lamp was on clearance for 13.98 but actually rang up 9.98. I currently have them displayed in my bedroom. The three level touch is great. That is the feature I like the most. Now I am waiting for my husband to come home and get his feedback. I would recommend this lamp.
My mom first read Harry Potter to me four years ago, when I was in second grade. It opened up a new world for me and nobody has really figured out how to get me out of it yet. My mom read the whole thing aloud and I could sometimes read a couple sentances ahead. Then she read the second book to me and I could actually read a few pages ahead of her. By the third book I could read chapters ahead and that summer, when The Goblet of Fire was released I read the whole thing without assistance in three days. I've read the books so many times now that my numerous copies are literally in pieces. The books offer many levels of reading. When I was younger, they were simply stories that I would fall asleep to, but now I do research on the backgrounds of names and other possible symbolism. When book 5 came out I had analyzed practically the whole book before I read it. Harry Potter opened up the world of reading and I am the most advanced reader in my grade now.
I bought two lamps for my bedroom a month ago and I love them. I noticed some people had problems with the light flickering or not turning on. My Tiffany lamps, suggestion is to try a different lightbulb. I almost went back to the store to return mine before I realized that the spiral fluorescent bulbs I placed in mine were the culprit crystal table lamps. For some reason, those bulbs were just not compatible and made them flicker and sometimes not turn on (plus made a annoying buzzing noise). So if you are having that problem, try a tradition incandescent bulb and that may nix the problem. Other than that, no problems since, even with daily use. I would suggest these Crystal Table lamp to anyone looking for a stylish, versatile lamp without a big price-tag.
"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" written by J.K. Rowling was one of the best books that I have ever read. The author did a very good job of not having any really slow parts in the book. The book always had the reader wondering what was going to be next and exciting. The symbolism in this book played a huge part. Most everything in the book had more then one meaning. One of the best things about the book is how it's not just for children although that is what it was suppose to be when these books first came out. This book can be read by anyone of all ages. Another reason why this book was a success is that it wasn't all stuffed into one book, and it is spread out into five books.. That just made the reader want to read the books more because the reader wanted to know what was going to happen next. This is another thing that really helped the books be successful. Another thing about this book is how it's fiction. Fiction books are more popular because you can expand your mind to believe anything and also the writer has no restrictions on how to write or what to write. This book will be one that I will remember for the rest of my life because it was a fantastic book. I don't think that I have ever read a book like this, it just grabbed the reader and they didn't want to put it down. It makes the reader want to read the rest of the books right away. This book also expanded your imagination more than anything else has. There were not any flaws in the book at all while reading it. It kept us on the edge of our seat the whole time reading it. I would have to say that this was one of the best books ever written and the next four will probably be just as exciting.
Also, be aware that the 3-way feature only works with incandescent bulbs, NOT the energy-efficient fluorescent bulbs. If you use a fluorescent bulb, all three "on" settings will be exactly the same. The bright side (pardon the pun) is that you can save energy and have a touch lamp... Dale Tiffany, wood, silver, white, you just don't get the 3-way feature of the lamp and it takes three touches in the "on" position to turn it off.

I never imagined as a then 23 year old woman that I would enjoy Harry Potter. I thought the book was just a fad, and I've never been one to follow fads. But then, one day, I saw the Harry Potter movie when I was coherced into going by my sister-in-laws, and I actually thought it was great! And so, I went and got the book to see if the book measured up to the movie. I was blown away.
The plot is intricate and the characters are loveable, once you get to know them. It seems that there is at least one character in the world of Harry Potter you can relate to. Hermione Tiffany who is the geek and not very popular lamp who comes from a classic suburban lifestyle, Ron who is the friendly but poor kid who comes from a very loving family, and then there is Harry who is your typical child from a completely disfunctional family (even if he is an orphan). All three kids are alienated to one degree or another from their fellow children and I think all people, children and grown-ups alike can relate to not fitting in at one time or the other.
I would recommend getting these books and reading them all. They get better as the books go on, but the first one still holds a special place in my heart because it is the start of the entire series and contains, table lamps in my opinion, the most magic and innocence of youth (which is a fun read). If you get these books I do not think you'll ever be disappointed.
