Finnish teenagers have a lot of different kinds of styles, so it’s hard to say just a couple of things about clothes etc. Many things also affect on teenager clothing, like where you live. Because many small towns in Finland are so in the middle of nowhere that there are not many choices, what clothes you could buy.

Boys' clothing:

We think that hobbies and the music that they listen to affect a lot on their styles. For example, the skateboarding boys wear caps, baggy pants etc.

The most common styles are skaters, normal and punk. Of course there are some other styles too, but these are the most common ones.

Footwear: Sport shoes and sneakers.

Hair: The most popular hairstyle is short and a bit messy

Girls' clothing:

Girls have more different kinds of styles than boys. There are for example hippie, punk and very fashionable styles.

Footwear: A lot of sneakers, Spice Girl kind of shoes, boots and so on.

Hair: The most usual ways to put your hair are ponytail, pigtails, bun or just open hair.

Make up: Mascara, eyeshadows, eyeliners and cajal are quite usual. A lipgloss is more popular than a lipstick.
