REASSESSING THE ROLE OF THE RESSO
The role of a RESSO has evolved since the installation of the federal Liberal government. RESSOs are no longer simply researchers of education issues or advocates for students. RESSOs have become charity workers, fundraisers, supervisors of activism and educational advisors. However, is this change appropriate, necessary or inevitable? The conference explored the role of the RESSO in the developing debacle of public education.
