My charge for all of these, except the critique ($70), is $95 an hour, with a new resume typically taking three hours.
I like to include you in the process as much as possible, either in person (if you're in the San Francisco Bay Area) or long distance, by phone and email.
Working long distance, I ask for a retainer (typically four hours for a new resume), payable through advance check or www.paypal.com. I'll refund you for any time we don't use. The process begins with a phone interview lasting up to an hour, after which I prepare a first draft. We communicate by phone and email to make changes and revisions until we're both happy.
When we're done, you will have a copy on high-quality paper, a CD with a MS Word .doc, versions for posting on the Internet and for pasting into the body of an email, plus a cover letter if you asked for one.
A critique consists of a 30-minute intensive review, during which you will get many ideas on how to make your document more compelling.
