Dance  is the   slaves  expression  of  movement and  story in words. It   comes  from the  heart and  should not be  something  that is  forced.  If a slave dances from the heart and  belly  the dance  will  seem  to write  itself. Before  you script a dance  here are  some  questions that  you may  wish  to consider.

 

 

1) how well  do  i  know  myself

2) can i describe  myself both in  appearance and  movement

3) what  is the difference between sexuality and sensuality.

4) can i define the  words, originality, awareness, vitality, variety,simplicity,honesty,accuracy, concretness and  grace.

5) do i  understand  what  flow  means

6) can i  script  in  present  tense.

7) can i find a way  to  express a story and/or idea in word  pictures.

 

Helpful Hints

 

We all wish to dance and dance well. For a dance is a slave's way of expressing her inner

self for the pleasure of the Masters and Mistresses who watch. The dances are our creations

but never forget that we dance to please others.

- Try to keep your dances between 5-10 poses long. We do not wish to bore a Master

by dancing forever and a day nor do we wish to have the dance over before it seems to

have started. Too short of a dance may seem like little effort was put into it.

- Dances are not just movement. They are expressions of emotion. You should remember to

add feelings and music into the poses while you dance. Give the Master something to focus on, remember, FEEL!!

- Each pose should be 5-7 lines long. Not too short to get lost in the scroll and not too long.

It is recommended that you gauge timing to the audience. Usually, a slow  count  to 20 between 

posts is enough time between poses. The best thing to do is to reread each pose as it comes

up. Not only will you keep track of time, you may also discover something in your dance that

you wish to improve upon.

- dances of  most kaji today are centered too much on the sexual and not enough on the complete

experience, describe your  music  often, make many references to the  force that  moves you,

the booming of the drums, the shrillness of a  flute, whatever you hear in your mind when you dance this dance.

- if a slave  does not have a Master/Mistress of their own then create a story that 

the slave is passionate about,  feelings on being slave, an experience  had as slave,

or anything else in life , a moment of incredible joy and how that made you feel.

- it's okay to be sensual  without having to be sexual, innuendos work just as well as sexually releasing

-often a  piece  of  cloth  is sexier than  complete  nudity (but not always)

- One last thing. Remember that those who watch do not read minds. Try to be clear

on what is it you are doing. Have a definite beginning - where are you, what are you doing and a definite closing.
