Prisoner for Justice As I am an active member of Yahoo services I joined the unconventional and unique Christian poetic forum called Peculiar Christian Poets. When I checked the listings of similar groups and found it, it read something like a place where you can vent leave your egos at the door kind of thing we are here to write from the heart and say how we feel basically describes why I post my words on there. I am under the name Convict, as that is what I feel motivated me to act pure -conviction-of-apathy nothing less. This was the first post I wrote their some time back, it was late as usual I wrote this in response to a dispute about how futile politics is when it comes to shelter for the homeless and proof of this is why they prefer to stay on the streets, this came out: Prisoner for justice, Prisoner for truth..... How longer must I stretch and wait for you, Your laws, your claims and legal security, Money, alms, and grants too lengthy. I must finally attest these convictions won't rest, At best I win, worse lose However then must I only choose, While I still continue to carry your bruise? For the sake of truth, For the cause of justice, For righteousness sake.... If only this works...... I must hang on the stake. Prisoner for Justice..... Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. MLK in a Birmingham Alabama Jail ID: Resolution1948 Prisoner Of Conscience |
