Melodic Minor

By flatting the 3rd note of any Major scale by a half step, you have
the Melodic Minor scale.

The Melodic Minor scale is used most in jazz. The traditional way of 
playing this scale is to ascend with Melodic Minor and descend with
Natural Minor (Aelion mode).
