Police today have released information on the shoot-out that occurred
last week at a local cemetery. Police performing a routine check of
the Riverside neighborhood in Merit Island, discovered what appears to
be an attempted homicide. Officers investigated a grey Van parked at
the Riverside Cemetery, long known for its history of being haunted
and hosting the oldest graves in Brevard County. The van belonged to
a Mr. Yoo When Police arrived, Officer Kemper
reportedly noticed Mr. Yoo and a Mr. (other malk, not bob)
acting in a strange manner.

A search of the vehicle revealed a set of bloody and burnt clothing,
Officers then ask to be shown the spot that the two men where found
at. During a search of the cemetery, a disturbed grave was found and
a Mr Jamal Michena then burst from the ground in what was reported as
a madness induced panic and attacked Officer Jim Applestien. Warning
shots were fired but ultimately Mr. Michena was shot to death to
protect fellow Police, Officer Applestien died before paramedics
could arrive.

The two men are being held without bond for the attempted homicide
of Mr. Michena, and for attempting to bury the body alive.

update........There has been a shoot out at Merritt Island Police
station. Two individuals, identified as Mr. Yoo and Mr.
(other malk not bob) as well as a third unnamed man burst from a
squad car and attacked local sheriffs. The two men where awaiting
transfer to Sharps to await legal proceedings in the morning. It is
still unknown how the third man hid himself in the squad car.

Three Sheriffs were shot in the lower torso as well as the legs, all
three are expected to make full recoveries. Police lost sight of the
three men after the two men were picked up in a Black 88 dodge van.
The unknown man was last seen following on foot until finally hiding
in a sewer-grate. Police found no-trace of the third man and it is
believed that he is still on the loose in the US-1 area.....Police
are following all leads that they have and have asked that citizens
report any and all strange men found after the curfew is in place.
These men are considered armed and dangerous.
