Police are currently looking for suspects in the vandalism of the football field at PALM BAY HIGH.

Several holes, some up to four foot in depth, were dug in the ground at the 50-yard-line.

Eyewitnesses report seeing five suspects
digging then fleeing the scene but have not been able to offer reliable descriptions other than the fact that the group was composed of four males and one female, possibly in their late teens or early twenties.

While vandalism by rival teams is common it is rarely anything permanent. Police officer Joe Harris says,"This is nothing like the normal vandalism we see during football season, were looking into the possibility of it being possibly more than that."

There is no word yet as to whether there was anything in the holes.
