Several video stores in the area were forced to deal with enraged customers, offer refunds, and free rentals to combat a recent spree of mixed-up video tapes.

Movie Gallery, Blockbuster Video, and TOP 10 Video all reported customers returning tapes, because the film they had rented was not the film they ended up with. Rentals of the recent Disney hit Mulan, Monsters INC., Air Force One, Mouse Hunt, Bill and Ted Excellent adevnture,Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, Ronin, and others were all found to contain copies of an amateur "snuff film".

"This has scarred our children for life!" cried one mother, who had rented Mulan for her children, only to discover the tape contained graphic imagery of two men sodomizing, savagely beating, and eventually killing another man.

The video stores are cooperating fully with Ardus Enterprises security agents in their investigation of the matter. Ardus representative T. F. MacNeil reported that they had two suspects under investigation, and were working with the F.B.I., as they suspected that the murdered gentleman was also a kidnapping victim.

"Forensics evidence has provided several solid clues. I'm confident we'll have them in custody soon," MacNeil said.

All of the video stores had employees review the entire stock of rentals to ensure that all the tapes had been discovered, and will be implementing new tracking systems on rentals in the future to ensure it doesn't recur.
