What really happened that fateful night in Raccon Forest, when S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics
And Rescue Service) Bravo Team vanished during their investigation?

What secrets is there to find from the time
before the "accident" in the mansion?

How deep dare we dig?

Enrico Marini, Forest Speyer, Kenneth Sullivan, Richard Aiken, Edward Dewey, Kevin Dooly and Rebecca Chambers all find themselves sitting in the helicopter on their way to examine the horrible murders in the outskirts of Raccoon City, when the engine suddenly malfunctions. Dooly, the pilot, however roughly succeed to land, and the team spread out to search the area, leaving Dooly behind to watch the helicopter. Soon, they discover a Military Police Car, used to transport convicts, crashed and deserted, with the two policemen dead inside. The prisoner, Billy Coen, has undoubtedly escaped and the Bravos mission is enlarged with the goal to bring Coen back to custody.

Chambers, newest and youngest in the team, is on her first mission and she finds herself to be all on her own. Rain starts to fall and she locates the local trainrails, and upon them, a train standing completely still in the middle of the forest. Well inside, the mystery evolves. The passengers are all dead and when she by mistake stumbles over Coen himself shes not making the first impression shed like to make. Coen wanders off and Rebecca tries to pursue him, when suddenly the dead begins to move. She is forced to take them down and she is then contacted by Marini, the captain of Bravo, who tells her that Coen is the murderer of 23 people. The situation grows dark, and it doesnt seem to get any better when Coen returns with the idea of the two of them collaborating to survive. Rebecca reluctantly agrees, even if she has plans to arrest him afterwards. But her plan fails when the train surprisingly starts to move. Outside, up on the mountainside, stands a man, singing. Coen and Rebecca watches the man with his peculiar performance and as they pass by they both wonder who he is and what the hell is happening?

And into the night they roll, and their quest has begun. For survival.

Resident Evil Zero - the game before it all started. We will once again tread play as S.T.A.R.S., but this time theyre not Alpha, but Bravo-members. We will once again meet Rebecca Chambers, and this time, shell be introduced to Billy Coen and, listen carefully now, the characters wont split up. Capcom stuns the world by this new-introduced intelligence from the characters in the game. And this is really cool stuff actually, you steer both characters simultanously and whenever you feel like it, you can leave one behind. Of course youll find moments in the game when you still will be alone with no other option than to keep moving.

This game were about to be produced to the N64, but since it was in the end not produced at all, many have waited for its comeback. And here it is, with threads to follow, lose ends to tie up and much more to find out from before the "real" first accident. And in this game we do find out a shitload of new interesting stuff concerning Umbrella and its background. Everything makes sense in the end even though some of it feels like its just stuffed to fill the game, its still a great game. And it is really fun to start a new adventure with new enemies on the loose and more secrets to dive into. And with the new gamestyle, with two characters put into that, it all ends on a must-have-game-level, especially if youre a RE-fan. It is not reinventing RE all over again, it is not especially innovative, much of it is basic gameplay. But RE Zero makes what it should - it tells the story about the beginning - and it is a good story. So strap on your belt and be ready to rumble again in true Resident Evil-spirit.
