Raccoon City - a city only to be remembered.
Many deaths.
Few survivors.
Claire Redfield, one of a handful of survivors from the many "accidents" surrounding Raccoon City, is still trying to locate her brother Chris, but he remains hidden. Her clues have led her to Europe and she is now trying to infiltrate Umbrellas headquarter in Paris, but security is to tight and in the end, she is captured. Her imprisoners take her to Rockfort Island, an island under the regime of a family - The Ashfords. Claire is put in a cellblock and with few options left, she awaits her outcome. But as a request from "upstairs" someone is suddenly attacking the island, with what seems to be some kind of a virus. The guard finds himself in a situation when his medicine runs out and he decides to let Claire go free. She promises him she will help him and starts to navigate out from the prison. Outside she bumps into a young man named Steve Burnside, who is trying to get off the island, and with help from each other they start to examine the island. In a computer-room Claire manages to send a mail to Leon, requesting help, but is still forced to try to do something about her situation herself. She starts to look through the several complexes on the island, in search for clues.
Leon however receives the mail, and succeeds to contact Chris, telling him about Claires location and about the attack. Meanwhile, the consequences from the attack is recognized by Claire and it seems like she must face the same dangers as she did in Raccoon City, all over again. But what she doesn�t know is that brother is on the way to help her.
But even more questions still keep hopping up, when it seems that the attack seems to have been planned from someone. And that certain someone may not be totally unknown by the Redfield siblings.
