A training facility under James Marcus´ lead.
A mansion belonging to Ozwell Spencer, in Raccoon Forest.
An underground lab under Raccoon City in the hands of William Birkin.
A city lost to devastation.
An island under the regime of Edward Ashford.
All of them under guidance from Umbrella.

This is six years later. Six years from the accident in the mansion, six years from the destruction of Raccoon City, six years from Umbrella´s fall.

Leon Scott Kennedy is now working for the government, under the president himself. He is sitting in the backseat of a spanish police-car, with two policemen in the front driving him to a little village. His goal is quite simple, the presidents daughter is missing and she is said to be seen in this village, thus Leon is sent to locate her and bring her back, unharmed. Well there, he starts to question one of the townspeople about the girl, but the man is not very cooperative, he starts to wave an axe towards Leon, and the scene ends in Leon being forced to do something - taking him down by brute force. Leon soons discover that it wasn´t just this man, but all of the townspeople that seem to be somehow different. And just to spice things up, the people kidnap the policemen and destroy their car by pushing it down a cliffedge. Leon is now trapped in this town with people that reminds Leon a wee bit too much like the ones created by Umbrella´s T-virus. But he´s not the man to give up that easily, he sneaks into the village and discover the scary truth that it is something bad going on here, the people are not themselves. But he also discovers a slight difference from the T-virus, these people actually communicates with each other and know how to use tools and weapons. Hooray, even better. But even the sneakiest government agent can stay undiscovered under these peoples very noses. Leon soon finds himself surrounded by plenty of angry villagers, some even berserking around with chainsaws. But he is litterary saved by the bell, when everything seems utterly dark, the churchbell tolls and all the villagers leave him be, rallying to the church. Leon swiftly pulls himself together and starts to dig deeper in this mystery, hoping to find the presidents daughter and get out of there. Both, hopefully, alive.

But still everything seems much like the work of Umbrella, or perhaps something else. Either way, it all smells rotten.
