A city with a living plague.
A company with a dark history, yet evolving into something far worse than first anticipated.
Two strangers arriving to town, ignorant of the dangers ahead.
Leon Scott Kennedy is ready to start his new job at the policestation. Hes been driving for hours and the night lowers itself over the buildings as he enters Raccoon City. Tired and wanting to go to bed, he stops the car when a woman is lying in the middle of the road. He slowly steps forward and people all around him are approaching very strangely from the dark alleys. Suspiciously he takes his gun out and all of a sudden, the woman beneath him grabs his ankle and tries to bite him. And as the continuosly growing crowd surround him he is making his way out by the help of a nearby caf.
Claire Redfield, nineteen years old, is on the road for one reason. To find her brother, Chris, who has disappeared after his last mission. Ready for the worst she has decided to go to him, search him up and with her own eyes see the outcome of the mission. Tired, but firm, she passes the signs of Raccoon City and stops at a caf, to start looking for clues, only to find the owner eating on another person. Afraid and terrified, she stumbles backwards when this man staggers towards her and she flees out the door, straight in the arms of a police. Leon.
Armed with a gun Leon protects Claire by blowing a hole in the man behind her. They make their way to an abandoned policecar and take off into the streets. Inside they have time to do a proper Hello, and in the car Claire finds herself a 9mm handgun. Behind them drives a man in a large truck. He has recently been bitten by one of "these things", and now hes starting to feel nauseous and dizzy. When a man suddenly attacks Leon and Claire from the backseat they lose control of the car, crashing into a wall. From behind the truck is approaching in highspeed, and Leon and Claire throw themselves out of the car seconds before it is totally devastated by the colliding truck. Leon, on one side, and Claire, on the other, decides to rendez-vouz at the police station, and they both begin the long walk through the city.
Will they manage to survive to the safety in the policestation? Will they really be safe there?

When we first started RE2 we got the question if we wanted to play as Leon - the rookie cop, or as Claire - the tough-as-hell sister of Chris Redfield. Of course we played them both to get the full game-experience and to understand every little detail. And this is the reason why this sequel is so damn good - it takes the RE-series to a deeper level, making the plot more complicated, the good guys gooder, the bad guys "bad-er", pretty much developing the story all over. And with the new enormous complex of the policestation and its nearby surroundings, we delved deeper into the mystery of Umbrella. Even more than one time. We all hurried through the game once again after we beat it just to feel the same rush again, because Resident Evil 2 is the kind of sequel we want to see, it gives us what we thrives for, and isnt that why we play Resident Evil in the first place? Why Capcom just ported this game to the cube instead of making a remake of it, well probably never know. It is the exact same game, with no new additions, but at least it is now playable on the cube as well. And why complain, it is still the same great game we play to feel alive, and RE2 takes us where we want to go, once more.
