Vegeta, the son of King Vegeta, who was king of the saiyans, is one of Goku's rivals. Though it never appears like it, Vegeta constrantly wants to be stronger and more powerful than Goku. He feels he should be better than Goku and often loses his cool when Goku pushes himself to the next Saiyan level. In the beginning, he came with his partner Nappa to trash earth and sell it to the highest bidder, but Goku and his friends prevented it. He then joined up with Goku to defeat Freeza, who kills him. He was also controlled by Babidi, another evil force that tried to destroy earth, and became Majin Vegeta, where his cool was gone altogether. Vegeta had a child with Bulma, a friend of Goku, and had Trunks. Later he had a daughter Bura.
