Cell was created by Dr. Gero along with the androids 16, 17, and 18. For Cell to become perfect Cell, he had to absorb 17 and 18, along with other sources of energy, mostly innocents. When Gohan, Trunks, and Bulma discover Trunks' time machine that is covered in moss, they also find Cell's outer skin when he mutated. It turns out he came from another time frame to find and absorb the androids so that he could kill Goku. Goku knew that Gohan's hidden power, once controlled, could defeat Cell, and it ultimately did. However, before that, he puffed up to a huge fat Cell that would explode and destroy earth, but Goku teleported him just in time to King Kai's planet. Cell was made from the different cells of the Z-Fighters, including Piccolo which he used to regenerate after the explosion, come back to earth, and blast Trunks and almost kill Gohan and Vegeta. But Gohans power proved to be too strong for Cell, and he was destroyed. Android 18 was spit out before his death and she fell in love with Krillin and became good. |
