Android 16 is one of the androids created by Dr. Gero in the Androids Saga of Dragonball Z. He was supposed to be programmed to kill Goku but he decided to love nature instead and tried to stop the other androids from killing Goku. When Cell comes, Android 16 attempts to fight him but ends up getting killed. It was Android 16's death that turned Gohan into super saiyan level 2 when Cell stepped on the android's head.
