This mud was so deep, it went up past my work boots. The hay that we laid was soaked by the time we left. The mud was mixed with feces and the smell and texture of the mud was horrific. |

It is hard to see but there was very deep mud outside of the dog house. Their bowl was upside down. These fearful dogs were both trying to hide in the one house. |

These were some of the better houses but they still had thick deep mud mixed with feces. These houses were leaky and did not fend off the elements. |

This fearful dog was keeping watch. His whole area was muddy. His house was sunk into the mud. We put hay there hoping that it would give him a dry place to walk. |
