Rescue 14
Every piece of Fire Aparatus in Westchester County has a designation.  The designation is the type of vehicle, followed by a number.  The vehicle types are rescue, ladder, engine, utility, fireboat, car, etc.

Our truck is designated to carry and operate rescue equipment such as generators, hydraulic rescue tools (jaws of life tools), emergency lighting equipment, etc.

The other vehicles in the Ossining Fire Dept. are:

3 Chiefs cars:  Car 2331, Car 2332 and Car 2334

6 engines:  Engines 96, 97, 98, 99, 100 and 101

2 ladders:  Ladders 41 and  42

1 rescue:  Rescue 14

1 fire boat:  Fire Boat 14

1 utility:  Utility 51
WHO WE ARE:
Rescue 14 is 1 of 9 companies of the Ossining Fire Department.  The Ossining Fire Department is a volunteer organization which provides fire protection/suppression and rescue services to the Village of Ossining and the unincorporated Town of Ossining.
WHAT WE DO:
The members of Rescue 14 conduct search/rescue operations, river rescue, traffic & crowd control and other emergency activites.  We respond to all types of emergencies such as fires, automobile accidents, river rescue, gas leaks, etc.  Our unit specializes in forcible entry and extrications.
