Membership Requirements
So you think you want to join Rescue 14? Great!
   Here are our membership requirements:
* Be at least 18 years old, but less than 50 years old.
* Be a citizen of the United States.
* Have a clean criminal record.
* Be in good health.
* Live, or work in the Village of Ossining, or unincorporated
  Town of Ossining and be available to respond to emergencies.
* Pass a background Investigation.
There are many benefits to being a member of Rescue 14.  You will have the satisfaction of performaing an important community service.  You will receive valuable training and experience.  You will learnnew skills, meet new people and make new friends.

Some of the skills you learn will help you outside the Fire Department.  Volunteering and community service always look good on a resume.  Also, you will be trained in First Aid and CPR.  You can also obtain non-firematic experience as a company officer.  Some of the positions include: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.  Leadership experience can be gained by filling the positions of Captain and Lieutenant.
